For an “official partner” you complain an awful lot about everything they release
Lol, don’t forget how he was trying to avoid paying for earlier DLC’s by talking about finding sites to download them for free because they were too expensive compared to what we were getting. I’m not sure why he wants to be an official partner if he thinks most of the DLC’s aren’t worth it.
Or admitted to editing maps and releasing them to the public without the author's permission.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

Just because you’re a partner with giants don’t mean that you can’t have an opinion on their dlcs

Having an opinion is one thing. But “partnering up” with a company that does little to no good in your eyes...

I think I want to be a partner of Budweiser, I hate their beer

Yes, having an opinion that you are just not into one or two is one thing. Coming onto the boards and advertising that you are looking online for free jailbroken mods of the DLC is totally different.

Excuse me Chedley but I've paid and spent more on Farming Simulator 19 then many people here. I bought the Collector's Edition from Giants, Bought it on Steam, bought it on PlayStation 4. I have bought all the DLCs on PC and PlayStation. I've bought some DLCs more then once as have gifted copies to some fellow players. I have no issue with the DLCs or their pricing. I just think I can be allowed to grumble about the many repetitive bits of equipment we get in the DLCs which just seem re-skinned and re-textures of stuff we already have. It's also pretty honest to say we have many mods on the ModHub that can be downloaded for free by all players of the game, that offer tools and equipment that's far more efficient to operate and use then many of the tools in some of these DLCs. For example the Case Ecolo-Till 2500 Plough that came out last week, a free mod that is much better and efficient to use in game then any of the 2m Ploughs we have got which cost us 19.99 if you buy the Alpine Expansion or 14.99 for ther Kverneland DLC.

I actually like the look of the new Map in the DLC and have pre-ordered it already. It's a map that I think might offer a very relaxing and different approach to how one normally plays the game. It's clearly designed to have players spend the majority of their time mowing and dealing with animals, specifically the cows, and is probably less focused on the normal field work stuff and growing all the regular crops.

Also don't keep concerning yourself with the fact a Giants Partner can provide Giants with criticism, it's much better then having people who only want to kiss ass and praise stuff. I would much rather provide honest feedback to players and Giants in the hope it leads to better content and better quality in the future.

Here it is chedly.
cwattyeso wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2019 8:45 pm I don't plow or cultivate at those speeds KCHARRO, it was just a test last night to see what was wrong with the Claas 5000 Xerion. By unlocking the speed limits of the Ploughs and Cultivators using the Fast Farming Trick it was much easier to see the problem that people have been reporting that the Claas struggles to get up to the operating speed of some of the larger ploughs and cultivators that it should be more then capable of pulling with ease. As it turns out some of the original base game tractors it turns out have the wrong TorqueScale values which means for example in the case of the John Deere 8R which if you buy the 450HP Engine option in the store, actually has 680HP when you actually use it because it's Torque Scale is 2.8. The Class 5000 Xerion actually has a Torque Scale a bit lower then what it should have to be 530HP and that's why it is struggling with some tools to reach or maintain the correct operating or working speed.

I was further able to test and confirm this tonight when McKnight Gaming over on the Expendables Modding Group on Facebook released the Claas Tractors as a Modpack where he's somehow managed to get them out of the encrypted dlc file and added the option to all the tractors to be able to alter their colours in the store. However what this let me do was look in the Claas 5000 xml file, and see the Engine Configuration and edit the Torque Scale. I increased it to put it on par with the in game 8R and 8RT, and tested ploughing and cultivating again and now the Claas has no issues getting up to the working speed of the tool and maintaining it, even on varying terrain elevations. So last night when trying to Cultivate using the Flexicoil ST820 I was getting instances where the Claas was only travelling at 1KPH. Tonight with the fixed modded version it was pretty much always doing 15KPH, only occasionally dropping to about 10KPH when travelling up a steep slope.

If you want to rake that old post up Illinois you might also want to remember that the Claas XML Edits do not work or function for a player who doesn't have installed and owned the Class DLC. So no you were not able to download and play with Class vehicles for Free, you have never been able to download and play with any DLC for free. As all the XMLs and Store Items still called for and referenced all the original data for models, specialisations and scripts contained within the DLC file. It only provide duplicate store entries so you could purchase tractors with the correct Torque Values. Which incidentally no one needs anymore since Giants Updated the Claas DLC and fixed the tractors.

What that Claas Pack did was basically the exact same thing that Giants showed today in their FarmCon Stream in the Presentation for "Modding for Beginners" where they showed you how to open an existing vehicle from the game, add your own changes and edits to it, and then turn it into mod, so you can use the edited vehicle in your game.

Sad to see the conversation has devolved to people bashing at each other for having different opinions.

Anyhow, here are the points I liked on the DLC presentation:
  • Detailed map boundaries. This has been a long time issue for mappers.
Since the assets will be encrypted for FS19 we can hope that new mod maps will take advantage of it on the next FS.
Or even better, they could release a guide for just this part.
  • The new way the train works. It feels more realistic now.
  • The city layout and details. Even having played on many realistic maps (Google Maps DEM), this one seemed right on spot.

You are right, I didn't want to ruin the discussion for everyone else. My apologies for my part.

Could the reason for 'repetitive' implements be that many are closely related, even from the same production line?
And that the task they are made for sets the parameters for how it is formed?

Definently looking forward to this.
Bit of a curve ball they came with, think most of the community had given up the idea of a new map in -19.

Bashing other people always starts with people who don't like it when somebody has a negative criticism of some aspect of the game.
So, if you have feedback, it better be all about praise. Otherwise you'll be blamed for hating Giants, the game and everything else, including ruining a thread that went off topic as soon as a super fan disagrees with your opinion.
