Farming simulator 21 release?
Google gave me mixed results about whether Giants will release FS21. Does anyone know whether there is a definitive yes or no? If yes, is the release date still going to be sometime in October? I am looking forward to the possible release.

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
The only information we have is that there will be no FS21 this financial year (which ends next spring), with GIANTS' reasoning that they want to evaluate the next gen consoles, but to be honest it was plainly obvious that the game needed more than the two years between versions, so it was bound to happen at some point.
In all likelihood there will be FS22 next autumn and probably at least a three year period between new games after that.

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
Frankly I hope they wait untill they can get all the issues worked out (physics of objects like bales, trees, pallets and reaccuring bugs) and implement seasons and better field managment into the base game (hopefully something like soil mod for fs15) and dynamic soil. I don't care if that takes 4 more years, rather wait for that than just another rerelease of the same game with a few new features...
PC gamer.

Same. I'll happily buy some more DLCs for 19 in the meantime. Just so they can keep the bills paid.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!

I know that Giants probably won't make a gravity wagon, but I love to read the responses.

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
If they did that, then I hope they would put a turn off feature. Sounds terrible for a farming game.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

Done with dlc this year....
What would you want to see as a story mode?Patton_M47 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 1:28 am i dont know about you but i think they should at a story mode...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
Most people that want something like thatmake up the story themselves
Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
Already had that, called Farmers Dynasty, and it's not a game you see much at all. It was released back when fs17 was new.Patton_M47 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 1:28 am i dont know about you but i think they should at a story mode...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
Please, GIANTS, (if possible) stop with the iterations and roll out a base game capable of OTA updates so you can focus on bug fixes, feature implementations and creating and selling content. An in-game shop featuring DLC and mods would be a major modernizing improvement.
Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
Considering the fact that they make most of their money in the first month after each new Farming Simulator and the sales for DLCs are very low relatively, that's just not likely to happen
Re: Farming simulator 21 release?
A story mode would be fun for a lot of people who don't necessarily want to make up their own stories. I think it would be more effort than they are willing or interested in putting into the game, since they've been more than happy to rely on modders to add the meat of the game. I wouldn't recommend asking any modders to do it though. Maybe you'll get lucky and one will come up with the idea on their own.Patton_M47 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2020 1:28 am i dont know about you but i think they should at a story mode...
PF18 had a story mode, and it was the best part of the game. Unfortunately the devs weren't able to keep the game plowing ahead.
