The USA have probably had a scheme which does some aspects in a similar way, but this is a completely new initiative with new ideas as far as I know.

Using satellites?
Precision farming isn't just about using satellites to use gps. They did soil testing. They put lime on different fields to see how different crops reacted. Gps came later. I know we have been using gps for 10 years now.
Gav, everything I have read on this European precision farming says it is the same idea that have been around for years here.

We have been doing soil tests for many years, and have been making yield maps for a long time.

Most countries/farmers have been doing this for years, to a greater or lesser extent. No farmer is simply throwing seed in the ground and hoping for the best. The idea that somehow the US is ahead of everyone else in this regard is a little misinformed. This particular initiative is new however, it is wrong to say this is the first time that any of these practices have been introduced however.

I am only one impressed here that these "Precision Farming" stuff coming to FS19?
I really thought we not going to see them before next FS game.

Really looking forward to it...

Other "Precision Farming" things that might come in future:

And it has been around in Europe for many years too. I am not sure why you think it’s new in Europe.

‘ Around the world, precision agriculture developed at a varying pace. Precursor nations were the United States, Canada and Australia. In Europe, the United Kingdom was the first to go down this path, followed closely by France, where it first appeared in 1997-1998’

I didn't think it was new to Europe. Good question to ask Eric, gav, and Richie. I just said when it was introduced in the US.

No it is not, will come as free mod (modhub) or as game update.
