Weed intensity seasons

As far as I understand it just adds more weeds to the field. Would increasing this make it better for hiring AI workers to herbicide on console?

More or less weeds won't change AI performance. In order for a hired worker ti apply herbicide, there must be stage 2 weeds (full grown) present. The benefit of seasons that I've found is that you can manually spray herbicide on the field after sowing to prevent weeds from popping up in the first place. I hope this helps answer your question.

I appreciate the response. But I am more so asking about the recent update to seasons (change log 1.3) in which a menu item was added from 0-100 on the intensity of the weeds that appear in a field.

Since the default seasons weeds were so sporadic, it made it impossible to hire a worker since the AI in the game has to pick up nearby areas that need working, which obviously wasn't possible since other sections of weeds were quite spread apart.

So in summary, I guess what I am asking is, does this new intensity adjustment increase the amount of weeds in a field?

Yes it does.
I am playing with 100% damage and 100% weed intensity.

what does the damage do like is it related to the crop damage or something else?

Do you notice any difference with hiring workers now?

If you still spray herbicide, will the intensity cause permanent yield loss or is the intensity just a matter of appearance only?

I am playing on PC, i use Courseplay for workers.
Weed intensity will cause more weeds to appear on the fields...once you spray it, they are gone.
Damage crop is mostly for those ungrown crop patches in the field, some people prefer to turn it down, i prefer to turn it up.

This can be done in basegame, too. No need for a mod.
