multiple seasons problems

I have run into a couple Season related problems, not sure if it is the Missouri GEO, or the UMRV map.
I am in my second "year". All winter crops matured and were harvested in time to plant corn and sunflowers. Every field germinated (yellow) and proceeded to grow (light green) - so no germination failures. Some of the cornfields grew and matured (all planted in the same single seasons day) but one did not grow past light green. Some of the Sunflowers grew to dark green, but did not hit harvest before the end of the harvest window in Seasons. One sunflower field stayed light green and never grew at all.

Given the disparate outcome of fields planted the exact same day, what gives? problems in the GEO or the map?

Does UMRV have a built in Geo?

I do not believe so. What is confusing is that everything grew fine in the first 'season.'
