What's the number 1 map that you are playing right now?

Post by chedly_farms »

Hey farmers,

What's the map right now that you are playing the most on? (and why isn't it Osina? :lol). And if you feel like it, tell us all why you are having so much fun on it.
Currently Playing on XBoxOne : Elm Creek

The western shore(fs17)! and why, because it's brilliant! :biggrin2:

I just started actually, after a long run on Sandy Bay. But a great opportunity presented itself to buy strumble head farm on the western shore and i couldn't decline! Its a sheep farm, although i don't have any sheep yet.

It's hard to describe what i like about the map, it just feels right. there is so much to see, so many details. Also the map feels way bigger than it really is because of the road network.

Graphically I'm in love with Helvetica. It is the best mod map I have seen so far. The amount of detail, from nature to the towns to the buildings and the fields and the mountains, is incredible.
The only reason I'm playing a different map currently an not Helvetica is because at the moment I prefer fields that are a bit bigger and very squared. Helvetica has very realistic fields, which means they have realistic curves, which require a bit more concentration to work on them.

I'm playing Old Time Farm at the moment.

I'm sure this comes as a shock to no one, but I'm on Welker Farms most of the time. Why it isn't Osina is that I don't have the mod space for it on my console.

Why it is, is because the Welker Farms channel was actually the first Farmtube channel I ever got into back when I was looking for videos on how certain things were done on farms, and just playing on it appealed to my American nature because that is the type of farm I have seen growing up. Expansive fields, big, high HP tractors (incidentally this map gave me the excuse I was looking for to play around with the Big Bud tractors), and it was also my first foray into seasons.

#1 for me is Stone Valley, Great midwest map, just feels like home. Have 3 save games of it, all different styles and different home places.

#2 Welker/ Dahl why, most time invested on those. Can't let them go .

I started BIg Field Farms today has some good potential for what I like. Renamed it BIg Fing Farm. Why? Because it just felt right

Currently I would say Marxville, WI by MRG mapping. It is a great midwest map with a variety of big and small fields, and plenty of odd shaped ones. Has several good farms to use.

Pineapple Bay ...with a few minor changes to fit my needs/wants.
The new version is a great improvement already.

I like the scenery of the map a lot. Even if it still looks a little unfinished. The field layout is a good mix of rectangular and irregular shaped ones.
The two circular fields have usable pivots preplaced for fertilization.

No.1 is Greenwich Valley (225 hrs) - because my farmer *finally* looks like getting on top of the job

No.2 is Somerset Farms (150 hrs) - my little old farm forced to change to Maize Plus feeding

No.3 is Lone Oak (60 hrs) - channelling Almanzo Wilder

My number one map is Bucks County PA. I just love the map, it plays really nice, good feel to it and loads of fields in all kind of shapes.
Just started my second season (a little over 30 hours) with precision farming enabled.

Love the ability the start really small doing contracting work and be able to buy or lease a small field and tractor and work from there and all the way up to one of the bigger farms.
Tried a lot of maps, but this one suits my play style perfectly, that's why this is my all time favorite.

Previously on Lone Oak, followed by No Man's Land and currently on Meadow Grove - mainly because after NML's total freedom I wanted to experience a map with tight roads, hedges, countless gates and average field size under 1 hectare. I have Chellington and Stone Valley in my sights though.
