Side note: the white speckles are little flowers. I never knew this until yesterday. They are on Lone Oak, and i thought it was some type of glitch from carrying over on 17. Then when i was cutting hay on this map, i got out of the tractor because i wanted to see what they actually were, then i found out they were flowers.lawm wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 5:26 pmI'm pretty sure the one paintable grass texture with the tiny white speckles.....when you are tabbing thru the paint options.....is the default one. It just doesn't match as it shows up on the cut or first growth stage. Once it grows I'm fairly certain it will match up with the mature grass. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong or chose the wrong paint option.sittinhere wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:04 pm I had the same feeling about the main yard. Till I sold everything minus the house. Removed some trees. Added some nice red barns and add the lancyboi silo and turned out really nice. Only thing I would like to see add is different paintable grass. One that matches the grass already there

A few farmers in my area here in Central Louisiana grow it for the grain. It does look like corn before it grows out the heads. They also farm it very similar to corn.lawm wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 12:33 amLol I never knew what sorghum was until they harvested wheat beside my first home i purchased and then replanted what looked like corn at first. It has a economy xml file that adjust pricing for the 12 periods. It overrides Seasons base period settings. To give it more local economy variation. It is actually the only GEO I have found with it, but I am sure there are more. The file is provided by Seasons on there web page so its legitpart of the GEO. Just not everyone uses it. I think it's nice touch. Here is the codeBeanbrother wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 1:35 am I don’t think I’ve ever noticed a Geo affecting the economy. Also had a question about the price that helpers get paid. Is that something that is preset from giant? Or are mapmakers able to set that price

10-4. The way I remember it they would harvest the wheat in summer then plant sorghum so they could silage it before got too cold. But I think it got rotated out now that things are done so much more efficiently and on a large scale now. Anyone my age that farms talks about it in the same tone they talk about antique farm equipment up here lolgaryst wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 2:58 amA few farmers in my area here in Central Louisiana grow it for the grain. Okay, I just took a horse for a ride down one of the trails. WTHeck!!! That was the most beautiful little trail I’ve ever seen on any map. I’m having a blast. Most fun I’ve haf on this game in a while. Thank you again AJFarmer for helping me scratch my American map itch.

Thanks so much, The trails are what I like to update. I would like to add more rocks, logs, stumps, mushrooms and more scene's. Make the trail a little more bumpy, but not to much you don't want to spill your drink. I think of the map as a playable model railroad. I have to do it without breaking saves. Sometime I wish I would have waited to release the map, But then Giants would come out with FS21 and I would have to start all over. Did you find bigfoot ?chedly_farms wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 5:06 am Okay, I just took a horse for a ride down one of the trails. WTHeck!!! I'm scared to go in the woods at night lol. I haven't really had time but it definitely has me in edge paying attention to sounds while I'm working fields near the woods at night. I try to avoid looking into whether it's a real thing or just something to keep us on edge. I'm tempted to scorch the north part of the map to find out for sure lolajFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 6:11 am
Did you find bigfoot ?

Also had a question about the price that helpers get paid. Is that something that is preset from giant? Or are mapmakers able to set that price

I have found an abandoned shack with a campfire going so far. No bigfoot or no whisky still yet.lawm wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 2:56 pmI'm scared to go in the woods at night lol. I know that Giants probably won't make a gravity wagon, but I love to read the responses.
