Production building…..what if?

Hi all

Just wondering what happens if you own a production building and take on a contract which delivers to that production point, but it’s currently full.

For example, if I own an oil mill and I fill it with sunflowers, then take on a contract which specifies the sunflowers need to go to the oil mill, what happens?

Will it accept the crop even though the production capacity of the building is full or would I have to wait until there is space for the crop?

Wait until space becomes available. So you'll be tied up with that contract a while (or have to cancel it).

The contracts I've taken on all delivered to sell points. Have you had one which delivers to a production facility?

I’ve put an oil mill on Erlengrat, most of the sunflower contracts that come up deliver to that production facility now.

I took a cotton harvest contract, deliver to the spinnery (that I own) which was almost full. I harvested the whole field before starting the delivery. Once I started to deliver the bales, it didn't take many liters of cotton to fulfill the contract. So I'm pretty sure it counts what is already at the production facility in to the contract.

And remember that you both get paid for doing the contract, AND get to keep what you deliver - if you own the production facility you deliver to. For now that is, pretty sure it's a bug that Giants will fix in the next patch.........

That’s why I like doing sunflower contracts, because I get all the crop into the oil mill! Hope that don’t fix that! Haha

This isn't a multiplayer game (unless you're playing multiplayer, of course). Who are you cheating by doing that? Why not just edit the XML and add some cash in?

Who’s cheating? I mainly use the oil mill on my own crop of canola but if a sunflower harvest pops up with a delivery point of my oil mill, then it’s a bonus.

I can’t see how this is cheating.

No worries, its a bit unfair of me to label it "cheating", so for that I apologise. Its more that its a loophole that exists, that its possible to take advantage of (and also, not really possible to avoid taking advantage off, short of declining that contract). I am not sure if Giants will alter this behaviour in the next patch, in which case enjoy it while it lasts. I personally think the game isn't that well polished and there are a number of loopholes which while are short-term beneficial, it would be good if the game were more polished and complete and it didn't alter gameplay.
