Can't combine
But you have the gravity wagon to haul logs in too
Containers carrying logs do exist, even woodships on specialised containers

That was not what you said, until proven wrong. It was a typical troll style comment that was very ignorant on the subject of logging. I worked in intermodal for over 15 years, you wouldn't believe what they put into containers.
I was talking about a video game, not real life...I was talking about the physics and handling of logs per giants engine.

I was talking about people are turned off by logging as is, and giants will turn off more unless they autoload or the rebuild logging physics from scratch.
Which I doubt will happen.

I was aware that logs were put into containers when I posted, I was clear I was talking about the physics and the fact people sceptical about logging without adding more ways to turn people away.

Frankly I was skeptical when they first announced it was a logging addon.... The physics are still pretty bad. Some cool new equipment for forestry, but my guess is most will get little to no use by the majority of players, unless there is some autoload function.

I agree with you, if this feature will come with not changed physics, it will be pain in the ... to use it.
I am not disappointed so far what i have seen in Platinum Edition, lot of nice equipment, nice map, lot of new gameplay features.
And i am not going to judge before i see how they work. If they are not working well and forestry is still so tiresome, then this DLC will fail.

Hahahahahahahahaha...another flop from Giants. Less than 1% of all lumber gets transported in shippping containters. And that is only if you have to transport fresh hardwood overseas.

With so many engine issues and things that need a fix...this is the last thing they should be doing. I guess making a few $ extra is more important than the community.

You all complain about something that you don't even have to use. Nowhere in there did I read all logs must be sold in containers. I says you may now use containers. Meaning it's an option.

it's funny how so many people get so mad or crying about something that they don't have to do or buy if they don't like it. I can't wait for this to come out I'm on an old PS4 and do logging and I haven't had 1 problem doing it. I guess i just know how.. haha

No you were absolutely not, just look at you're thread title, and the stuff you wrote in the first time didn't mention something about log physics at all.

So you thought it would be a good idea to make a post about something you clearly know nothing about.
Loading logs in a container is a thing and i think it's cool to see it in the game.

And everybody who don't want to do this: There are still normal logging trailers in the game, sooo what's the problem?

It's like Giants took the worst parts of the game, and centered FS22 around them.

More pallet handling.
Brainless AI with more responsibility.
Logging expansion while physics are often game breaking.

Is this the I hate Giants thread? Giants keeps expanding the game and opening up more possibilities and it seems that it just makes more people complain. It just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished I guess. Thank you Giants for creating and expanding a game that has held my interest for 14 years. I like that I am not forced to grow potatoes or sugar beets even though it was added to the game and I prefer cutting trees. I'm glad that I don't have to raise cows or pigs on my farm when I prefer sheep or horses. I'm very thankful that there is a game that has been made that I can do any variety of things and that it can also be modded to the point that I can do pretty much whatever I want with it including mining or various other roleplay things. I like that Giants keeps expanding the gameplay abilities to include all of the different things that everyone seems to complain about. If you don't like that particular segment then don't use it. I like using smaller older machinery on a smaller old style farm so I don't typically ever buy the big tractors. I don't go on the Giants forums and complain about there being big tractors in the game though. As far as forestry and mining not being a part of farming though most states allow agricultural tax exemptions for it.

Yup, it's just another "let's hate on Giants" thread. People getting upset because Giants have added containers you can ship logs in - seemingly forgetting that you don't actually have to use the containers if you don't want to; it's another option that you have access to. It's as if people are forced to do things they don't want to - it's madness.

It's also like the containers can't be used for anything else - I bet that multiple people will use them for other things - big bag storage on farms, or for people that enjoy role-playing to put stuff in to... The possibilities are endless, but people aren't focusing on that because they've seen 2 images of logs in containers and so instead of thinking about what they could do with this feature, they're just being belligerent and using it as an excuse to throw their toys out of their prams. It's pathetic. 😂

People need to lighten up. The near continuous whinging is draining.

Who's bright idea was this?, you want to get more people to log and you pull this dumb idea.

🙄
No, they aren't going to "make people" do anything. It's an OPTION.

People are really out here complaining about having more options... Hilarious.

Instead, you go on the forums to complain that people don't have the same opinion as you.
