Is there a way to get your beacon lights to stay on even when you aren’t in your vehicle? If so how, and if not, can we?

Yes, if you turn off the "automatic engine start" you can leave the beacons on even if you then turn off the engine manually. If the automatic engine start is active, it switches everything off when you get out of the vehicle. Engine, light and also the beacons.
