Adding more than 255 farmlands

Hey, i am trying to add more than 255, i add to farmlands.xml values to 255, and channels set to 9, in i3d i did too, i can buy, i can work on 510, but its not painting blue when i buy it and in log i have. When i sold it i cant work on it. Do you have idea how to solve it.
Error: Setting state color with invalid state '257'. Maximum allowed is 255.

max number of farmlands is 255 the only other way around it is using script

255 is the maximum value because in the range of 0-255 are stored data on the color by which the game recognizes farmland.
