Random tree planting

Hi all I know how to place trees into a map but was thinking it would be good and less time consuming if there was a script that placed trees randomly onto a map, is this something that is possible or even been don.

Hi, there it is, you have to find the Terrain Mesh Paint Mode on the top, it is on black blue color with an orange stick. For using it, you have to select the tree you want to place and select the tool I said, then paint where do you like to put it, and it will set many copies of the selected tree.
If you want to change parameters of it, search on Window and Terrain Editing, then, in terrain editing menu search for it (Mesh Painting) and then you can change parameters, such as distance between trees, etc.
