Forum Chat Bubble Legend

Just for clarity what do the different chat bubbles represent?
I created a list of bubbles I have seen and what I think they mean.
Please make corrections and I will update this first post.


Black Chat bubble--------------------------Standard Chat
With a flame in center--------------------Assume this means a popular chat but I cannot figure out the critiera
With a pin in center-----------------------pinned to the top of a forum (most of the time)
With a lock in lower left corner---------Thread locked
Red Chat bubble---------------------------New unread post since you last viewed that thread
Icons in lower left corner-----------------Optional icons that can be selected when making a new topic (not available on all forums)

Red bubbles = new, unread post, since you last viewed that tread

Pin in the centre means it has been pinned to the top of a particular forum. I don't think I ever remember seeing one with a star

I thought that but I found one that was pinned and locked that did not show up at the top of a forum. viewtopic.php?t=203643

That's what it is. I pinned the pc advice one when I was a mod here. It's a long time ago and I can't remember exactly what the options were but there is varying ones on where the topic shows etc

These are symbols you can select when creating a new topic in some sections of the forum (not sure what is the criteria in which section this is possible). There will be a line above the one where you type in the text for the subject of the topic, where you can select a "Topic Icon": https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... pic_icons/

Interesting. I did a quick look and the only forum that I can find that has these icons when making a new post is is the Mobile forum.
Is there a reason for that or just an oversight?

Sorry, I don't know.

You would have to ask the Forum admins (listed at memberlist.php?mode=team) or maybe Chaki.
