Feeding cows on Buckland Farm?

Post by thomson125 »

Hi!
Does anyone know where you feed the cows on the main farm on Buckland Farm?
It feels like I've driven around the entire cowshed from all different angles but there is never an option to unload the TMR.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Never mind, I found the triggerpoint in the cowshed now.

If you look into the cowshed, over the double metalgates, its at the wall on the right hand side at the back of the shed.
I hope that makes sense.

There is an update coming for this map so maybe wait till the update comes out. Could be a few little issues that need to be fixed. I believe the triggers are inside the barn.

Is there a water point for the cows? I can't see one.

Does it say in the animal menu that they require water?

It does in the animal dealer description, but the animal menu only reports that I don't have any cows yet (same with all animals as I haven't bought any yet).

Buy a cow and see if she wants water, or if it's on auto fill..

Will do once I can find a small, static, TMR mixing silo - all the ones are modhub are for mahoosive American mid-west size farms and totally unsuitable for small British style farms. (And no, I don't want a mixer trailer - I want a small footprint mixer silo)

I’m also having problems with contracts. I’ve just done some route contracts and I’ve delivered it every single bit of the field after half is it and it’s still telling me that I’ve got at least 2 to 5% left to deliver but I’ve delivered it all also with Contracts I’ve been doing bailing contracts. I’ve bailed the field excepted the contract done it all and then then the next day is telling me it needs bailing again but the grass hasn’t grown and this is all on console PS4.

Well, I discovered the cows are auto watered - no carting required - yaay.

But neither the cows nor the pigs generate manure, even if you put a small manure pit inside their pastures (the cow pasture on Calmsden did produce manure if you put a silo in the pasture fairly close to the cow shed). That could be a gameplay blocker for me - I like using natural organics on my fields, I also process the manure into solid fertiliser for contracts.

After the latest update (requiring a new game save, unfortunately), cow manure will appear inside the barn. Straw location has been corrected for pigs, so maybe everything will work properly now.
