TestRunner Errors: desktop.ini.

Post by FarmerRabbit »

Hallo,

I am currently working on a new map.

When I run the map through Testrunner, I get this error under ObsoleteFiles.
I've checked the folders and I do not have any desktop.ini files in either of the locations.
I've checked under "file-->change folder and search options" that hidden files and folders are turned on. But still, no such desktop.ini shows up.

Code: Select all

obsolete file (file: FS22_farmville_Island/desktop.ini)
reason: source, cache or unsupported file
obsolete file (file: FS22_farmville_Island/maps/desktop.ini)
reason: source, cache or unsupported file
Does anyone have any suggestions how to sort this one out so my map will past testRunner test?

Thanks!

Did you disable "hide protected system files" (or something similar) in advanced settings as well ?

Where would find advance settings? under the "file" in folder options?

Yes I did sorry misunderstood you. That box is ticked off "show hidden files, folders and drivers"

If that is ticked OFF it means it doesn't show. In your initial post you mentioned to set it to "ON".

But I was not talking about this one anyway. We are on Win10? Further up to what you described there is the option for system files as I mentioned before. IDK how the wording is exactly on an English edition.

I figured it out now. There is an option that is called "hide protected operating system files (RECOMMENDED) under "View" in folder options. I un-ticked that box, and the desktop.ini files showed up. Deleted the desktop.ini files that showed up, and now the error in Testrunner is gone.

Map has now been submitted to Giants for approval
