Calmsden map

For those who enjoy British-style maps, has anyone tried "The Oaks" map, and if so, what are your thoughts on its quality, size (4x), and the variety of farms available? Furthermore, has anyone used the autodrive feature on this map, and how would you describe its performance?

Farm sim Brisco is close to releasing a new version of the Oaks so it maybe worth hanging on before starting as he has made some changes. The Autodrive Guy route is pretty good for the previous version.

Not trying to start trouble, but I'm curious. You created a new thread called 'Calmsden map' and then proceed to talk about nothing but 'The Oaks'. Why?

I've wanted to try 'The Oaks' for a while, but I just couldn't bring myself to install the huge list of extra mods required to run the map.

Calmsden is a great map - some people don't like it because the narrow roads, true to life, mean there can't be traffic but it's one of OxygenDavid's so it's very detailed and very accurate. I got on well with AutoRoute on the map. The only drawback is that OD's map making has moved on, so now Court Farms makes Calmsden look a bit dated.

I like The Oaks, and although the big list of required downloads is a bit daunting, it's worth it in the end.

You're temptiing me to give it a go. As for OxygenDavid's maps, I've had saves going on both Calmsden and Court Farms since they released. Normally I prefer traffic on a map, but I don't mind Calmsden's lack of it. Its likely because its such a great map. I think I prefer it to Court Farms.
