As long as the Save and Export as WavefrontOBJ scale is set to 1 and the item being exported is at translation 0,0,0 (if not then in blender select object in the scene and hit '.' on the numpad) there should be no problem with exporting from i3d to obj

Lolz, good catch TheSuBBie. I've done that starting out.
EDIT: to clarify, in both of those cases, the obj would still import, but be unusable or undetectable. In one case it would be way too big and the other too far away.

It just said “file import failed” and then didn’t open. And then sent me back to the blender homepage in the system.

As long as you export correctly there should be no problems
in GE
Select object to be exported
File --Export Selection --in the popup panel give it a name in File Name and in the drop down Save as Type select Wavefront OBJ(*obj)
Note textures are never exported even if Export Selection with Files is selected

Okay maybe it was the obj scale was set to 10 or something and it was to big for blender

How do you create a shop icon that isn’t a separate shop category. For example instead of the vehicle being in its own shop category it should be in category “trucks”.

Take the option as a lone file imported into the Scenegraph and add it to another file in the scenegraph

so you are importing something (option?) into GE. and then you want to add it to what? (there are no "files" in the scenegraph)
