When you make maps, the more versatile it is possible for the player to change the map to his liking, it's always better than having everything fixed =)

On console, I don't think you can delete them. Same with hedges and fences and certainly not with the construction tool (I've tried). Those small gates are a pain for me too!

I know on some maps, to make them sellable at all, you must own the land, have the gate close and have restarted since buying the land. According to a couple mod descriptions I have seen, this is the workaround modders used so we can sell the gates in game. Idk if its the case on CF but worth a shot a think for such a minimal amount of effort.

I know the gates can be annoying when attempting to get larger vehicles or equipment through them however, it is designed this way to simulate how it is in real life. The map itself isn't designed for large equipment but rather small to medium yet even then some small or medium sized equipment in some cases you might not be able to get through some of the gates...

I currently use map object hider as linked above though ofc if you've tried that already you'll know that it doesn't work on the gates.
So in this case the only way to do that is with GIANTS editor.
