Enhanced Weather in FS 25?

Post by Einbrot »

Do you think the storm in the CGI trailer of FS 25 and the improved rain effect showed on the Farmcon 24 indicates enhanced weather like weather effects/demage on your fields/crops?

In the last CGI trailer of FS 22 crop pests were suggested so the storm could only be a CGI gimmick, what do you think?

No weather effects/damage to crops, that would have been announced this previous weekend.
Enhanced visuals, yes.

Most likely no, Giants wants to make farming as nice and lovely experience.
New weather visuals are coming... like better looking rain, fog, haze and shadow and sun effects.
Most likely we never see extreme weather what damage your crops, wet muddy fields what stuck your tractors and
tornados what damage your farms.

I’m just hopeful that the sky will be darker and not partly sunny with rain.

Be nice if there were clouds in the sky when it was raining too

That would be a major breakthrough.

Indeed. And, Giants, you don't always get thunder when it rains. Could we have some rain without the constant thunder? It scares the cat.

And why oh why, when the rain icon disappears, does it keep raining for another 20 minutes?

Yes, they're in uncharted groundbreaking territory. We just need to give them a chance to work it out over the next several versions.

You don't like the constant thunder? Well now they learned how to make lightening so...

Is it the icon disappearing early that's the bug, or is it the continuing rain that's the bug.
In any case, I have full confidence it's fixed in 25.

Because that's the forecast icon, not necessarily the "what its doing right now" icon

Where I live pretty much 96% of the time it rains, its always a thunderstorm.

Besides that, I've noticed that some maps, back in FS19 of course would have a thunder sound effect, while some don't, like Griffin, Indiana 19, whereas Lone Oak do have a thunder sound effect, the fact that you would still hear it while its snowing would seem very unrealistic.
Greetings, from Central Texas! :hi:

FS25 is officially out! But will stay in FS22 for a few more months. PS5 *thumbsup*

Griffin, Indiana 22: 103 Hours
Ohio Richlands: 87 Hours

Big Flats, Texas: 43 Hours

In my opinion, while the storm might be considered a cinematic gimmick, the introduction of crop pests in FS 22 hints at a trend toward more complex agricultural mechanics. If Giants Software implements these weather effects effectively, it could significantly deepen the gameplay experience by making players more mindful of environmental conditions and their impact on farm management.
