Ok thanks - seems a bit strange to not allow 22 to be used if you preorder 25. But ok.

Does it? Seems perfectly normal to me. What games are you playing where pre-ordering a sequel gets you access to the current version?Gurumanger wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 11:40 am Ok thanks - seems a bit strange to not allow 22 to be used if you preorder 25. But ok.

Fixing bugs before the game is even released and the bugs reported, that sounds very irrational to me at least..FenlandFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 2:24 pm o dear o dear o dear
nothing about fixing the bugs nothing about making it more realistic nothing about making it more about farming
just hoping that comes later
but rice wtih an american accent is there rice grown in usa ?
Re: Farming Simulator 25
Bugs have carried over from version to version. They don't start from a clean slate, they do a save-as and the new version is born, inheriting all the flaws. Indoor rain was a long running bug that spanned many versions. My favorite bug where you can use your own crop to fulfill a harvest contract was carried over from 19 to 22.Totenfarmer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 3:47 pmFixing bugs before the game is even released and the bugs reported, that sounds very irrational to me at least..FenlandFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 2:24 pm o dear o dear o dear

The irrational part is the fact that bugs carry over. They prioritize adding half-baked features rather than fixing existing issues.

That being said, I do look forward to it, I have been playing since FS11 so maybe Giants just trained me to not care to much about their shortcomings. My main frustration/irritation isn't even about the game itself, it's about how QA handles bug reports. I tried calling them out for a mail correspondance on the Steam discussions, the post was removed and I was issued a warning for being disrespectful when all I did was make a post about a specific incident. They don't seem to handle critisism at all, and will not take correction. I think this is just sad as they used to talk to the community and take the time to help their customers. I understand there is a significantly larger player base now, but still.
Re: Farming Simulator 25
They've trained a lot of people to not care. There are a lot of people who will jump in to make excuses for them whenever somebody offers criticism. I never criticized, until they started putting a triple A price tag on new versions while not providing a triple A product.Totenfarmer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 4:20 pmFair point, and you are right even though it's hard for me to admit it :p

This standard practice for developers. I was a beta tester and major forum contributor for another game and when they started adding content that volated their terms of reference and age restrictions I called them out and warned that someone could sue. I was imediately banned from the forum and all my game accounts were locked.Totenfarmer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 4:20 pm I tried calling them out for a mail correspondance on the Steam discussions, the post was removed and I was issued a warning for being disrespectful when all I did was make a post about a specific incident. Note how I said it in the form of a question. I don't want to be called out for criticizing somebody for criticizing somebody for criticizing somebody.
