I agree 100% calmsden being the best map, but traffic on those narrow roads would be a nightmare

Seen as Calmsden is mentioned a lot here I might ask a question, would anyone know the size of each field on the map in acres, or maybe somewhere they might be listed.

Try "The Oaks" map if you like British style maps its very good and 4x size with lots of different farms to choose from, I just went with the starter farm and expanded as I went along.
There is also a great autodrive available for this map.
