Strange camera behavior
On PC, recently upgraded my Xbox controller to a dualsense edge controller. After switching I've had some strange camera behavior. The camera will randomly switch angles abruptly. Not like a stick drift, just a straight up angle change. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Re: Strange camera behavior
I've experienced exactly this issue in the last couple of days. I've realised I also installed a camera mod (Cab cam? Cab view? something like that) around the time it started happening so I'll be deleting that when I get home to see if that fixes the issue. If you've done a similar thing try deleting that mod.
EDIT: Just removed that mod but the weird camera behaviour is still happening. I'm stumped. Been using the same gamepad for the entire 50 hrs of playtime but this issue has only been going on for the last 4 hours or so. The joypad works fine in everything else and did in this game as well. I'm out of ideas.

Re: Strange camera behavior
I am having the same issue with the ps5 DualSense and the camera jumping around. I tried it without mods and it still seems to do it and it doesn't happen when using keyboard and mouse only. Also tried to see if it is replicated on fs22, and it works just fine. Seems to be a bug in fs25. Hopefully there is a fix soon as it is extremely annoying.

Re: Strange camera behavior
Have had this with my Xbox controller on PC and use to occasionally have it on 22. Maybe if more folks are experiencing it, it will get fixed.

Re: Strange camera behavior
Using an xbox controller, from the first day of game play (3 days after release).
In FS 25, the xbox controller moves the camera angel as I'm walking (not drift). IT I walk forward, the character seems to continue looking at the same spot in the ground, so eventually I'm looking at my feet. Same happens when walking backward. It does not happen walking right or left. This is using the left joystick at full up or full down. When used at half up or half down, the camera doesn't change, however, then I'm basically baby stepping it around the farm.
Frequency: happens with every play, also happens when driving vehicles (tractor)
Controller: XBox PowerA
Game: FS 25 (does not happen with FS 22)
System: Windows, not using Steam
Tried: resetting controller, updating graphics and other computer drivers, using xbox controller app, reinstalling FS 25. Nothing works.

Same issue here. Using a SCUF Envision Pro masquerading as an Xbox controller.

For what it's worth, I did the following steps on PC/Steam, which seems to have resolved this issue:Abyssleaper wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 4:30 am Same issue here. Using a SCUF Envision Pro masquerading as an Xbox controller.
Code: Select all
In the Steam options (right click on FS25 in Steam library > properties > controller settings), disable / enable Steam Input depending on your current setting.- DMZ Commander

Re: Strange camera behavior
Did you verify in the log.txt that the controler is detected correctly? it should show "Cat: GAMEPAD" for the controller.
The reason I ask is that there doesn't seem to be a configuration file for the dualsense edge controller in the inputDevices folder of the game.
If the controller is detected correctly I would recommend to create a report for this in the official bugtracker: viewtopic.php?t=168424

Re: Strange camera behavior
From what I've read, and what steam says, PS5 controllers work but don't have full support in the sense that sometimes the F1 menu may show an incorrect icon

Re: Strange camera behavior
Thought I would post this here and hopefully someone find this useful. I was having this same issue, on my FS19, FS22 and FS25. It was very rare on FS22 but it did happen. It happens quite often on FS25, but I did find a solution that fixed it for me. I play on PC, Steam, and I use a dual sense controller, PS5.
Solution: I started my game, went to the in-game settings and controls or key bindings, then I deleted the "Look Down", Look Up", "Look Left" & "Look Right" on the mouse binding. This fixed it for me and I did not have to mess with the Steam input options at all.

Re: Strange camera behavior
I know this is a year later but maybe it will help somebody. I had exact same problem on my gamesir Cyclone 2 controller , battled for a week almost giving up playing the game. My controller has software where you can change a lot of settings and Macro. My controller has diffrent report rates set in HZ kind of like mouse speeds, Default for X-box controllers is 250Hz and lower mine was set to 500Hz I changed it to lower setting and VOILA!!! No more camera jumping , hope this helps.
