The first patch (1.3.0.0) has just been released.

No mention of this texture bug in the changelog and I can confirm that it has NOT been fixed on my Intel-based Mac:

I now doubt it will be fixed within this year, if ever :(

Did you already report it to GIANTS via their public bugtracker (viewtopic.php?t=168424)?

If not, please do so, because the more people report it the changes that they will notice this issue and fix it should increase.

Yes, right away, but no one seem to have even looked at it yet.

Have anyone submitted this and seen it assigned to someone?

The report I've submitted for this wasn't assigned to anybody from GIANTS either, so I doubt that they actually looked at it.

Hello there,
I had the honor of corresponding with the support team regarding the issues I encountered with Farming Simulator 25. To facilitate the communication and make the content accessible to a wider audience, I used ChatGPT to translate the entire dialogue into English. Below is the translated version of the conversation:

1. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Platform: Mac App Store
Product: Farming Simulator 25 - Base Game
Game: Farming Simulator 25
Textures are displayed incorrectly or not at all... The same texture keeps appearing...

2. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Please adjust the graphics settings in the game to match your hardware. Try gradually lowering the graphics settings until you achieve an optimal result.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

3. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

I’ve already tried that. Attached are screenshots from the game. Also, here is a link to your forum where this issue is discussed:
Farming Simulator 25 on macOS - GIANTS Software - Forum
And a photo of my computer that I’m using.

Best regards,
Rafael

4. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for the information. Please adjust the graphics settings in the game to better suit your Mac. Try reducing the settings step by step until you find the optimal result.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

5. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

I have already made changes to the graphics settings. The error still persists even with very low settings, as well as with all other settings. There is just one texture everywhere, even after plowing, seeding, and the swan is also displayed with this texture after mowing… see the attachment. In your forum, there are other Mac users who were able to trace the issue to Intel-based Macs. Here:
Farming Simulator 25 on macOS - Forum
This game is listed as Mac-compatible, but it seems Intel Macs were overlooked.

Best regards,
Rafael

6. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for the information. We don’t have specific suggestions for your Mac. It always depends on the graphics card and the features built into it. Just because you have a large system doesn't necessarily mean it has the right features for the game. Therefore, I can only recommend that you try to find the best settings that work for your hardware.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

7. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

As I mentioned in my last email, the texture error occurs at all settings. It cannot be a problem with the settings… For example, the texture for straw is displayed as soil! Where do I set that? What does this have to do with the graphics settings? This texture error also appears on my MacBook Pro M1! Only on my Mac Pro with an Intel processor! What could be the cause? It surely doesn’t have to do with graphics settings? Did you not check the forum posts? I honestly feel like I'm being brushed off here. What kind of service is this?

Best regards,
Rafael

8. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for the information. It's strange that the graphics are displayed differently for each player, even though they all receive the same files. If the correct textures are displayed on PCs with appropriate graphics cards and appear multiple times in streams, but only on your Mac the wrong textures are shown, it makes one wonder what others are doing wrong. We can only state that it’s important to meet the minimum system requirements for the game. An M1 graphics card is not the same as a dedicated graphics card in a PC. The newer M2 or M3 versions are also not comparable. That’s why I can only suggest trying to find settings that suit your hardware.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

9. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

That doesn’t help me either. And I’m not the only one with this problem. As I mentioned before:
FS25 Mowing on a Mac - YouTube
Doesn’t it look strange, the grass texture after mowing? For me, it looks like soil! Or not?
Farming Simulator 25 on macOS - GIANTS Software - Forum
It’s the same issue everywhere. All textures look the same! And again, Intel Macs are affected… It’s REALLY STRANGE! How do you explain this? Where can I change the textures in the graphics settings to make it look like this? Would you be so kind as to explain this to me? It looks to me like in the forum description, it wasn’t really tested on Intel Macs.

Best regards and thanks for nothing,
Rafael

10. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for your inquiry. The game requires higher resolution and a corresponding graphics card. With the integrated graphics chips, you can only run the game at the lowest settings. Please start with the "LOW" settings and increase gradually.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

11. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

I have an AMD Radeon W6900X GPU with 32 GB of video RAM and have set the game to 1280x720 resolution with very low settings. I’ve tested all settings (from "Very low" upwards), and the issue still persists. I’ve already mentioned this! Constantly advising me to do the same thing doesn’t help. Why aren’t my questions being answered? Or is it that you can’t open the pictures that were attached to the emails? That would explain a lot… Therefore, I’m sending them again as a ZIP file. Please take note!

Best regards,
Rafael

12. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, no attachments, such as images or ZIP files, have reached us. We can only offer the suggestions that have worked for most players. Why your system behaves differently is something we can’t determine remotely. If you’ve tried all the different settings and still have no luck, it seems that your PC might not be able to run the game properly.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

13. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

Here is the specification of my computer:

Model: Apple Mac Pro 2019
Processor: 3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon PRO W6900X 32 GB
Memory: 192 GB 2933 MHz DDR4
Operating System: macOS Ventura 13.7 (22H123)
And here’s a link to the screenshots:
LS25 - dropbox.com

I hope this makes things clearer?

Best regards,
Rafael

14. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for the information. Yes, the image is shown here as a large icon, but unless you provide a full link to a shared folder or file from Dropbox, it’s hard to access. It would be better to simply attach the image in JPEG or PNG format directly to the email or use a public image host and upload the images there, then send us the links.

Regarding the W6900X graphics card in your Mac, we cannot definitively say whether it fulfills the game’s requirements. It needs specific capabilities to display the game correctly, including relatively recent DX12 features and others from AMD for proper rendering.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers
GIANTS Software Support Team

15. Message from Rafael to Mr. Bövers:
Hello Detlef,

I don’t mean to question your expertise, but there’s no DX12 for Apple or macOS, and there never has been, nor will there ever be. I have an AMD graphics card, and NVidia and AMD are the two biggest manufacturers of graphics chips.

A few questions:

Does the game even run on an Apple Mac? According to this page: Farming Simulator Website, it is listed as Mac-compatible!
What are the minimum requirements for LS25 on the Mac platform?
What are the recommended requirements for LS25 on the Mac platform?
On which chipset is the game even supported: Intel Processor / Apple Silicon M-series?
Best regards,
Rafael

16. Response from Mr. Bövers:
Good day Rafael,

Thank you for your message. To download the latest update for the DLC/game, please visit the following link:

Once you’ve downloaded the update, install it by double-clicking the downloaded file. Consoles will automatically update once an internet connection is available.

It's been interesting reading all the posts here about the issues wish FS25 on Intel Macs. I'm surprised Rafael with your setup, that even you are having issues with the game.

I had only played this game on my PS5 until I read this thread, so I decided to see how the game ran on my M1 Pro MacBook and M4 Mac mini. I was very surprised to see that the game runs smoothly on both my machines and with no issues with textures as you guys are reporting here.
I sincerely hope that Giants can get this sorted for you all.

Wow Mr. Bövers wins the support dude of the year award :hi:

But it's a good question, what are the system requirements for Macs? On steam it's even unknown ("TbD")

Today I have installed FS25 on my Mac Mini M4 Pro and can confirm its runs great. I have it set to High (auto) and running at 1920x1080 fps are a steady 60. I have experienced no texture issues whatsoever.

My M4 Pro is the binned base model 12 cpu cores and 16 gpu, ram is 24gb and ssd is 512gb. Using “stats” I can see my GPU usage hits 89%, CPU 45% and ram 60%. Fans are on but only at 20% (automatic control)

Previously my M1 Mac mini ran FS22 fine albeit on medium detail and much lower resolution.

And it goes on and on....

here is the answer to my last question:

18. Hello Rafael,

Thank you for your inquiry.

As you can see from the minimum requirements, your graphics card is not listed there.

When it comes to a graphics card, it’s not always just about having enough memory, VRAM, or GHz speed, nor about the maximum screen size or the number of supported monitors.

For a new game, it is also important that the graphics card supports the functions required by the game to optimally render the graphics.
For this reason, the minimum requirement has been set to the GTX 1050 Ti or better.

Please compare your current graphics card with the GTX 1050 Ti or newer models to check which features might be missing on your card.

Best regards,
Detlef Bövers

19. Hello Detlef,

Are you saying that AMD graphics cards are not supported?

GIANTS support unfortunately has no clue about Macs, all their guidance is purely based on Windows unfortunately. Therefore it is really unlikely that you will get any useful response from the for this issue.

As already mentioned in previous posts of this thread this is a bug that is specific to the version of FS25 for Intel-based Macs (on Macs with "Apple Silicon" it doesn't occur), which GIANTS needs to fix in the coding of the game.

Some people, including myself, have already raised reports about this in GIANTS public bugtracker (for example https://feedback.giants-software.com/view.php?id=17782), but unfortunately GIANTS so far hasn't looked at this issue.

If you want to help making progres on getin this fixed I would recommend to also open a report for the issue in the public bugtracker (viewtopic.php?p=1292706#p1292706) and then let GIANTS support know about this forum thread.

My first post!
FS25 is my first Farming Sim.
I’m running on a MM2 Pro 2023 with 32GB RAM on a Mac Studio 27” screen in high settings, res 3560 I think it is. Don’t know about frame rate , but it is OK.
Bought FS25 on App Store 7 days ago and wonder if I get the updated (1.3) version from App Store or can I download it somewhere else and install it my self?
I want the updated version to be able to use ”Autoloader”.

I also bought ”Logitech Farm Simulator” (Wheel, pedals and side control panel). AND IT WORK!
I found out that as long as my Asus Chakram mouse is connected, the ”Logitech Farm Simulator” shows up besides the Asus mouse. There was a conflict between some setting on the mouse, so I deleted all input for mouse and ”Logitech Farm Simulator” and assigned new buttons for everything.(Toke a while…).
Every input are assigned to my Asus mouse, that I think act as a host for the ”Logitech Farm Simulator” controls, because if I remove the mouse, the ”Logitech Farm Simulator” disappear.

Happy Farming!
Torsten

I just read that Giants may not be testing their MacOS versions of FS25??? I did not buy this garbage, and I write this because of the myriad of bugs in this, to be their frickin beta testers. Anyone know where to go for a refund? It was purchased from Giants earlier in the year

Giants has no business selling this (MacOS version) as a software release, and I'm not a beta tester for them. So I have filed an issue with Apple directly because the software on Mac does not adhere to process boundaries. Giants is also selling this on the Apple App Store, and they are beginning to receive refund requests there. I cannot claim a refund in this way, as I knew, because I bought directly from Giants. Apple, however, is _very_ interested in my report of FS25 issues.

Happy Holidays.
