So can i cheat/ break the game. If I go into my saved game file. Select a piece of land and say that I own it. Load the game, put a production on that piece of land. Save the game and exit. Then go back into the game file and say I don't own the field. Will the production be there when I load back in. Also can I use the production .
Thank Nick
So I am curious if I can do this or not. Pc

yes and no technically it is possible it is to be verified if the production or any other building, trigger is saved in the placeable.xml file of the map. I have never tried this solution it is easier to place the structure with the editor obviously placing it on a land that can be bought

Always good idea to backup your saves, and to to save your game before doing anything important, because Giants developed this game.

I always keep a test save (usually in slot 20). I use this save for testing new mods or experimenting with new ideas. If anything goes wrong, its easily replaced with a new save.NickCooper wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 2:46 pm Yea completely new to PC. Maybe I'll make a copy of the saved game and see if it works. So yes you can put the building on a piece of land that you don't own. Only thing I don't know how to do is not own that production

Why even bather editing the games files. All the cheats you need is already in the game. Goverment subsidy, money generators (solar and wind power). Not to mention the ability to change economic difficulty in the game at will. You could have hundreds of millions within the hour, "without" cheating. And no, that is not a good thing.

What does that have to do with placing a production on land you don't own?Hawke67 wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2024 5:27 pm Why even bather editing the games files.
