Save game not saving on 4x maps

I’ve had this issue on multiple different 4x maps where when I try to save the game it load for a while and then tells me “the game has not been saved” I’ve tried multiple things like freeing up storage but have had no luck. I have checked in the game files and the saves that “did not save” are showing up in the save game backups but nowhere else. I was wondering if I could get any help or ideas on how to fix this issue as I find smaller maps rather boring

Have same problems. In log, after a failed save attempt it shows the following error: "Game save failed. Error: 7"
Haven't found a solution yet.

Same here, been an issue for months. I've tried uninstalling all mods, load with all mods, load with no mods, still nothing. Very frustrating.

Having the same problem. It seems to only happen to those of us who bought the game on the Microsoft Store and not steam. Hopefully they can patch this issue because there are some great 4x out there!

Ps, you need a separate account there, forum one will not work

Its happening to me as well but i bought on steam. have tried everything...

Are you using Onedrive? if so maybe try disabling it. I remember that being an issue in the past with not saving.
