Re: FS25 Sound issue
I have the same problem, it started when a mission gave me a Challenger MT635. Every time I try to start the engine of the tractor the sounds goes away and I have to close the game completely to get sound again

I'm having the same problem tried searching everywhere for solution. And came up with nothing! I hope you have better luck
Re: FS25 Sound issue
When I start the game it runs fine for a minute or to then cuts off and I hear nothing and have to restart my rogg ally to hear sound just for it to cut out again this doesn't happen on my other farms so idk what it could be

Re: FS25 Sound issue
There's a big discussion of the sound bug on steam at https://steamcommunity.com/app/2300320/ ... 750081634/
I get it occasionally too. Machine sounds cut out and I have to exit FS completely and restart the game to get the sound back. It only happens occasionally for me (maybe 1 out of every 10-20 times playing or so).

Re: FS25 Sound issue
Have (now had, more below) sound issues as well.
For me is when driving any of the big rigs (trucks with fifth wheels that tow semi trailers). Sound is normal when starting the engine, but as soon engine revs up, there is a semi-loud pop and all sounds (vehicles, environment, etc) go off.
The only way to regain sound is to completely exit the game, not just to the main menu (as it is also soundless), but to the desktop.
It happens with base game trucks, Giant mods and 3rd-Party mods. It also happens starting a new game save slot without any mods. Cannot tell if this issue started with patch 1.9 as I seldom use big trucks, but I didn’t have this problem a couple of months ago when hauling lumber to the Museum with a base Mack Anthem.
My earlier work-around was:
1- Easy way: Just drive the Volvo FH Electric truck. Not a common sight for Riverbend Springs but works.
2- Editing XML files: Noticed while looking into the truck files that most share sounds with the Volvo VNX300. As I have no means to open GLS files, I just edited the vehicle files to use the International CX sounds. Not elegant, but again it worked.
Now after reading the Steam Community thread posted by Phantoms (great find!), post #111 by ShutEye_DK provides an much easier solution. Just rename the “turbo_loop.gls” file and problem is completely solved.
Checked this work-around in my current save slot with 200+ mods, and also in the blank slot with no mods and I can confirm no sound loss with any base game or Giants mods.
However… the Lizard 379 (aka Peterbilt 379) from the ModHub still had issues. Appears it is also the turbo loop sound, but the loop refers to another file. Just the same, renaming the loop file fixes the problem.
For the record, as far as I can tell, the Steam Community users reporting sound issues are Windows users with a variety of Intel/AMD/Nvidia combinations. I run it on a Mac, so I don’t think this issue is hardware or OS related, appears it’s a damaged loop sound or a corrupted GLS file. Then again I’m not a game developer so I’ll keep my opinion to myself.
Hope this helps some of you guys.

Re: FS25 Sound issue
Cannot speak for others, but not for me.
Updated to 1.10 yesterday afternoon. Same symptom. Tried a base Volvo VNX300 in a new save slot with no mods. Engine starts and within a second or two, a loud pop sound and all goes silent. Oddly, log file does not show any errors.
Disappointing, but reverted back to the solution provided by the Steam Forum poster. Renaming or just removing “turbo_loop.gls” eliminates the sound problem.
Updated through the Apple Store (purchased the game from it). Don’t know if this is common, but for me all big updates (1.x) have been full game downloads. This time was a smallish update. Point is that I noticed that the date stamp for all the files in the Volvo VNX directory are from the last update (1.9 on May-26). For newly updated files the date stamp is Jun-24. So I might try deleting the entire FS25 package and download the full app to verify this issue.
Hope that the update fixed the sound problem for others though.
