Performance in Farming Simulator Signature Edition (Nintendo Switch 2)
Re: Performance in Farming Simulator Signature Edition (Nintendo Switch 2)
The patch is not good at all, I didn't notice any difference in frame rate, and the game now looks darker to me, I had to crank up brightness in settings to even see anything. Overall pretty bad, I'll stick to FS 17 on Switch until they make this mess playable.

Right there with you. The game runs medium settings on Steam Deck at nearly 50FPS. What we get on Switch 2 looks and performs much much worse.lielow wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 8:54 pm I'm so disappointed in this switch version, I also own 25 on steam and it's great there but thought the handheld version was a no brainer for enjoyment on the go but its honestly a waste of money with how badly it plays

Yes, Standard FS 25 runs really well on Steam Deck. One advantage is the lower resolution of 1280 × 800, which requires less graphics power. It still looks good with the OLED display. Mods can also be used there. For FS, I would say that Steam Deck is the better alternative to Switch 2.

Yesterday I've played on Zielonka for a couple of hours, I noticed that it runs much better than it used to, usually I mainly played on Riverbend Springs, but Zielonka seems to run much smoother, there is still big lag spikes around grass fields but I'm sure they'll manage to fix it. So my conclusion is, if you are playing this version, play on Zielonka.

I would like to see a performance/quality toggle to select the shipped graphics vs the updated graphics. I have put in close to 100 hours on Signature Edition so I’ve had a good mix of both versions. The update certainly improved the handheld frame rate, but at the expense of a significant reduction in visuals. I think the worst impact is texture stability. I am hopeful we will continue to see that fixed along with additional tweaks. I am also very hopeful we will see continued support for this game for several years as I really enjoy this version. With that said, if Giants sees this please consider the graphics mode toggle.

Has there been any information from Giants on an update since the last one?

Unfortunately no, but it should be this month.forgotaboutlaye wrote: Sun Apr 12, 2026 2:11 pm Has there been any information from Giants on an update since the last one?

This is just beyond disappointing, you tactically released this game before Christmas because you wanted easy money, I've been in this community since 2013, it's never been this bad, so heartbreaking. Is this how you treat your community? All of you are greedy, and you only see money, all of you, so incompetent, so unoriginal, without a grain of shame

I absolutely share your disappointment, be am honestly bewildered.
Performance aside, I thought they would at least try to sell the already existing DLC from the Y1 pass. It would be relatively easy money for them.
It's far more convenient for me to play on my Switch, but unfortunately I'm having to go back to my PC version at this point.

Excited to see the news about Mod Hub being added. I didn't see any patch notes regarding performance, so I'm assuming nothing has changed there.
