Grass - Grass Roller ?

In FS22 after you cut a grass field (harvest), if you went over it with a grass roller, it would show the field as 100% fertilized (dark blue).
When I use a grass roller in FS25, the fertilization state does no change. Is this a feature that was removed, or is something messed up?

It is still working just like in FS22.
Might be a mod conflict or not the correct roller (not all rollers are grass rollers)

Are you using Precision Farming? Maybe that is changing it?

Not using precision farming, and yes, I'm using a grass roller like I stated.

In FS25, you have to wait for the next month to use the grass roller. Then you get 100% and the growth is normal. After mowing the grass, the status is harvested, the next month (with or without roller) the status is growing and 50%, after rolling, still the same growing, but 100%


Edit: Harrow doesn't work anymore as an alternative.

That might be map dependent.
I have tested this on Riverbend Springs. I cut the grass and directly after it I used the basegame Dalbo roller and got 100% fertilized status. No need to wait for next month.

Crazy, I don't remember, when this FS22- behavior happens the last time for me in FS25.

Using a grass roller (in FS25) removes all growth and puts it back to just cut growth stage.
Waiting until next month to roll it loses a month's growth, so if that's the only way to do it then yes, it's messed up.

Oh no,
In fs25 you can roll in the same month you cut the Grass.
In giants maps and all maps i played.

Yeah as mentioned you can roll right after cutting the grass. Starts it growing again and gives one level of fertilisation. Playing Pichonniere Valley currently and it works properly.

This is crazy ... I play on The Pichonnière Vally, too, but I tested it again and I couldn't roll in the same month. Strange. Do you all wait for the second harvesting stage to cut, when the grass is hips high (I do)?

Edit: I don't use the seed function. And when I roll the next month, it is 100% fertiliser and green for growing.

@Ltl.vamp I originally thought fields 1 and 2 were meadow grass, so I mowed the grass, picked it up with a loading wagon. Then I ploughed both fields which gave a single fertilised state, then seeded with grass, fertilised once with a spreader and let if fully grow before mowing and then rolling which gave me back the fully fertilised state. I can only think that ploughing somehow triggered the fields to behave correctly.

I do always ploughing and the same procedure after buying a grass field. The only thing I'm missing: do you all use the diabolo only for rolling like me or do you use it like a seeder.

^^^^^^ Same result for me on Witcombe Park map. Had a field of spinach I didn't want. Ploughed it and seeded with grass. Then mowed at full growth stage and got the worker to roll it. See attached screenshot, the info box shows 100% fertilised. And I just use the roller for rolling, never for seeding.
