Graphics Cards!
Re: Graphics Cards!
Of course, the point I am making is that you will still get slow downs, I had a beast 6 core processor and a GTX 580 and used a lot of mods in FS 2011, and STILL got slow downs. Its the CPU and game engine, they just cannot handle a lot of objects and mods in the game.

Re: Graphics Cards!
I run an old beast of a machine. The dell xps 720 2.4 dual core with a GTX 460. It runs on average 40 fps. Except when looking at the farm, with nothing parked there. It drops to 30 and sometimes 24. They really need to do something about that. But oh well. Im fairly happy. One of these days I plan on upgrading to an i3. Heard that right now with the 3rd gen its got a lot more punch.

Re: Graphics Cards!
Whats a real good graphics card for pci express 2.0?
Because all the new high power cards seem to be for pci express 3.0

Re: Graphics Cards!
Actually, you can use a card made for pci express 3.0 just fine in a 2.0 motherboard. Then, when you upgrade your motherboard and cpu, your card will upgrade with you.

Re: Graphics Cards!
Thanks for letting me know that 3.0 will work on a motherboard with pci express 2.0.
All ready have a reasonable 2nd gen Intel cpu just need a new motherboard with pci express 3.0.
If you want a real laugh i'm running a geforce 9600GT graphics card.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Graphics Cards!
I'm using an EVGA GTX 670 FTW. The card has no trouble running FS13 with everything maxed and with 4X forced AA supersampling (which is very demanding) with GPU usage rarely going above 50%. The problem is the game engine is still very CPU limited. I'm running the above card with an i5-3570k @ 4.5Ghz and still get dips down to 50 fps or lower in certain areas with the detail settings on very high. Going with a better card would not help. The cattle farm is the worst, I've read the animals are very CPU dependent and the higher I OC my CPU the better fps I get. So I play with detail settings on high to avoid this. The 1.4 patch improved things a lot but hopefully Giants will continue to optimize the engine in future patches and DLC.
Re: Graphics Cards!
My old computer (which died in January) had an Ati Radeon X1950XTX, which was a very good card considering how old it was.JacksonStipe wrote:Hey all, i am just curious of what every one is using for their graphics cards.
My new system is using an (EVGA) GeForce GTX 660 Ti, which I'm very happy with.
