Re: Specs for a computer
Haven't looked it up but as long as that AMD processor is equivalent to a 2.0GHz intel
System Requirements Windows Version (*)
Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
2.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD processor
Nvidia Geforce 8600 Series, ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphics card or better (min 512 MB VRAM)
2 GB RAM
3 GB free hard drive space
Soundcard
DVD-ROM Drive
My setup is a desktop:
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Intel core i7 3.5GHz quad core
16gb ram
MSI GTX 970 video card with 4gb ram
I run FS15 on "Very High" without any problems.
I would be aiming for a CPU with a speed of 2.5-3.0 GHz and a video card with 4gig of memory for good measure and be somewhere around the GTX660 and above. (i think that is the card that a few recommend for a decent graphics quality in Fs15)

What ever it is I just said; I could be wrong!

Re: Specs for a computer
If you want to run FS on medium to high settings, you'll probably have to spend about twice as much money. That low end laptop is only suitable for simple office and internet tasks.
Re: Specs for a computer
im running it on low settings on a laptop now but im looking at getting a desktop and the specs i posted above are a desktop. Other than the processor are those specs good for what i want to do?

Are you looking to buy a PC system or ordering parts to build yourself?
Also what amount are you looking to spend and what country are you in?

Re: Specs for a computer
There is no real desktop with an AMD A4 APU with 1.5GHz. Only those Nettops, but those are that small that they only use laptop components.
Anyways, doesn't change anything about the fact that you'll need to spend at least 50-100% more to get something decent to run FS at medium to high settings.

Re: Specs for a computer
ok let me run this by u guys. i have a desktop also with these specs.
intel core 2 duo E7300
2.66 GHz
4 GB Ram
64 bit
Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
Intel GMA 3100
Memory 286 MB
The gpu is no good for the game i know but if i was to upgrade that would the rest of the system run it like it is? if im not mistaken its a 300 watt supply on it also. i see the gtx 750 card is a 55 watt card with minimum power requirement of 300 watt, will that work on this computer?

@fusebox:
Depends on the PSU. I wouldn't trust my new hardware to a noname PSU. I would be too affraid it could damage my whole computer.
You should check the output on the +12V rail. Usually there's a sticker on the PSU with that information on it.
Other than that, the GTX750 would be a good choice. Not that I really recommend upgrading such an old computer, but if you're on a very tight budget, it would probably the best choice. Should give you maybe 2 years or so to save money for a new computer.

The GTX 750 is about has high as you can go without your CPU bottle necking the performance of the graphics card.
However as said, the PSU must deliver satisfactory power as well as your motherboard as this is an PCiE on board powered graphics card.(no external power connection)
You should be able to run it fairly well with your spec. however some settings will have to b turned down a tad to get the best gaming performance out of it.

Re: Specs for a computer
If you put in a decent gaming suitable GPU, it would be a nice entry level gaming PC. But in the current state, worthless for gaming.
