Difference between straw and hay bales?

I know you can make bales of either straw or hay, but what's the difference?

Can both be fed to animals? Is one better as animal feed than the other?

straw is used for bedding for the animals. Hay is food for the animals. You feed the animals you get milk from the cows. You use straw for bedding and you will get manure to spread on crops.
