Signing into the iCloud function.

I have been playing FS16 on a iPhone 5 and iPad 2. I would like to be able to play the same game on either device but when I open the iPad the iCloud icon has an 'X' appear on it. When I click on the icon it states 'Please sign in first'. How or where do I sign in to enable this function. My iPhone does allow me to use the iCloud option and I have the same general setting on both devices. Thanks.

Sign in from the icloud app or website im assuming.
