Giants Editor object repositioning tool

Is there anyway to adjust the location of the object repositioning tool (the red, blue, yellow arrow axis that appears when you select an object). Normally the tool shows up relatively close to the object, sometimes however the tool is so faraway from the object that it's difficult to position the object correctly. I'm building a new map using one of the starter maps. When I select the log pond water plane the white box reprinting the object shows up on one side of the map but the repositioning tool is on the other side of the map.
