My brother and I can't connect to the same server

Hello everyone.

My brother and I want to play on the same Farming Simulator 17 server, and unfortunately we have a problem. We are both on the same network. For some reason, when we want to both play on this server, my brother has to join, and then leave. Then I have to wait about 2-3 minutes, and then I join. Then my brother can rejoin and it works fine.

An important thing to note is that when I try to join before going through the process above, if I attempt to join while my brother is on the server, I am unable to even connect to the multiplayer network where I choose the region of the server I want to join.

Could anyone shed some light on this issue? I have tried restarting my modem, router, pc, even verifying the integrity of the game cache through Steam.

I'm open to any suggestions at this point because I have tried everything that I can think of.
