Graphics Issue

Post by FarmerBob16 »

HI

Can someone who it somewhat of a PC guru help me out please?? :!:

I can't run the game on HIGH graphics quality as it crashes on start up every time! Medium quality gets very laggy, low quality is fine up to a point but in certain areas in GCV I get Frame Rate drops (this happens on a few mod maps too). I have the following hardware installed: :search:

INTEl Core I5 4460 3.2Ghz
2 & 4 GB DDR3 Ram modules
Geforce GT630 2 GB DDR 3 128Bit Graphics card

With this set up I should not have any problems but I can't seem to find where the problem is, please could someone help me out here? :hmm:

Easy one,

Your GPU (Graphics card) isn't good enough to run the game on High.

Although it says requirements "Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 or better (min 1GB VRAM, DX11 support)" this is the minimum required to run the game on low settings
so you should not expect your GT630 to be able to cope with high settings

Thanks Duka for pointing that out.
That being said I still would like to see your log.txt. You can PM it to me if you want but normally you just post it here and put it in a spoiler tab as written in the instructions.

Yes I agree with DukaSoft, your GPU is pretty insufficient for the game. My old GT730 had massive frame drops.

Hi Guys

Thanks for all your help, I have decided to upgrade my GPU will now be installing a Geforce GTX1050 2Gb, hopefully this will help smooth out the ripples in my game play

FarmerBob16, very true. *thumbsup* It's worth spending the extra money to be able to make it last a while, before buying another one. :)
