Lars,
Nice to meet you! I have been to Germany once back in the 90s, but it was just a quick tour of the salt mines in Berchtesgaden... Spent more time in Austria... Fell in love with Innsbruck and Vienna... and the Steigl beer!!! In fact the only German I can remember to speak is, "Eins bier, bitte."
Glad to have you around!!

Welcome Lars. I think we're all looking forward to a bit more communication even if it's just someone saying there's not an answer yet like you mentioned above. Glad to have you here.

I know I am! Anyway, but yes, even though, if there isn't a definite answer, it would still be nice just to let us know if there is some trouble or something has/hasn't released quite yet. Communication is key.Preble 818 wrote:I think we're all looking forward to a bit more communication even if it's just someone saying there's not an answer yet like you mentioned above.

Well, if that's not a useful line in Germany, then I don't know what is.mdoss wrote: "Eins bier, bitte."
Thanks for the kind words everyone- Feel free to create as many 'ask Lars' posts as you want. I might not be able to get all the answers, but I can at least try.

Re: Introducing the Community Manager Lisertan
Welcome. I spent 30 days in Germany traveling by rail and Army APC carrier in October 1970--tells my age here(70) now-- during operation Reforger 2 playing war games after returning from the real war in Vietnam. Landed in Frankfurt, picked up equipment, put it on rail cars, unloaded in ??????? and spent the rest of the time looking at Germany from the observer hatch of Armed Personnel Carrier when not on field maneuvers. My APC was always sent out ahead to "scout" our next operation. We always tried to park close to a small town. Within an hour of parking the kids would arrive and we would send them back into town for beer(excellent beer, by the way) chocolate, bread , cheese, etc. We would tip them to do this for us. They came everyday as long as we were there. We had a captain and 3 other guys in my section. Took lots of pictures from the top of that APC--mostly slides that I haven't looked at in years(not sure they are even any good anymore). Spent one night at a hotel in Nurenberg and a little time at 'The Wall' there. Ended up in Graafenveer (sp?) for 3 days to turn in our equipment and fly back to U.S. By the way, I am half German-half Dutch descent. The rumor is that I came from the mean German area--but I am not very mean. I don't post as much here as I did on FS13 or 15 but I check what is happening on a regular basis.
