Re: What do you guys do for a living?
I work in a lincolnshire food factory (27 years) I guess I actually like it as I’ve stayed so long and work with some wonderful people, never a day goes by without having a laugh! I then finish at 2pm every day and go home to my own lovely house paid for by working there.

I got my rigid truck licence in 2008 and then the artic in 2011 I think. Most truck drivers won't do my job though because the stress and hassle we have every day.
Re: What do you guys do for a living?
Is it rigid like in GE? (Lame joke, I know ). I actually had to google rigid truck as I did not get what you meantGuil wrote:I got my rigid truck licence in 2008

Lol in Ireland we call it rigid and artic and England they call it class 1 and 2 but I've no idea which is which. Really though it's C and CE

I'm going to get D as well but because I have CE I will automatically get everything under D so D1, D1E and DE. I have no use for it right now so haven't bothered to do it yet.

I've had a few motorbikes before but rarely got to drive them so sold them. I only had a provisional licence or learner permit so it was kind of dodgy haha. I had a cbr 600 which I loved and it was a rocket. My uncle gave me a 1200 Honda goldwing for a while as well but I didn't want to keep it. Before that I had a suzuki marauder 250.
Re: What do you guys do for a living?
Ah, that is a fair share of bikes, indeed
Of the ones you name I actually like the Goldwing the most. A neighbour had one of those, superb cruising.

I've been to parts of Canada and the Class 1 up there is what you would call the CE. Here in the states that would be a CDL or Commercial Driver's License. I got mine when I was 18, but until you are 21 you are only allowed to drive inside your state. Also once you have a class A CDL you can drive anything below it here.Guil wrote:Lol in Ireland we call it rigid and artic and England they call it class 1 and 2 but I've no idea which is which. Re: What do you guys do for a living?
We have this rubbish thing called CPC since 2009 I think, it's certificate of professional competence and every year you do 1 module and every 5 years you get a new cpc card. It's illegal to drive without one anywhere in Europe. I think now you have to be 21 to do the CE test and 24 for D but not exactly sure on the age limits.
