[GIANTS] Forum Update

Post by RODHA »

Lets enjoy our newly updated forum :biggrin2: *thumbsup*

I want to ask 2 things.

1) Do we need to check our settings for anything that has been changed on its own because of the update, and are there new settings we have to look at? I'm asking this rather than checking on my own because I hate checking settings over and over again as I do it too often because of my work :biggrin2: So, any help would be much appreciated :hi:

2) Do we have any new features? I couldn't find so far but may be I'm missing something.

Thanks for your time :hi:

Hey,

it's just a security update, so no big changes. It has, however, killed parts of our settings and some things look kinda weird right now. Our IT wonderboy is already looking into this.

There should be a setting in the forum admin page that allows it to be mobile friendly no matter what changes are made. A simple tick box. How can that have been broken??

It's all very colourful and the icons for threads look different too. Could also be that I haven't been on my pc in about 2 weeks

What does the flame next to the thread title mean on the list of topics under like general discussion.

Flame means it's a hot topic. Depending in the settings in the admin screen. You can decide how many posts make a thread hot. I've generally seen it on here once it hits two pages to be a hot thread.

Red... Why is my thread merged under yours? :hmm:
How much did you bribe Guil? Spit it out :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

I was looking for my thread and even I sent a PM to Guil to learn what happened to it.
Then all of a sudden I've found it in your thread :biggrin2:

The pan is on the way Red and there is no escaping it

Btw, I really liked the new style. Small but subtile changes. Great job I think, except the mobile side of things
