IBAN number in US

Post by banditbooker17 »

I'm trying to sign up for the Giants rewards on the modhub site and they need an IBAN number. Has any modder from US that has mods on on modhub figured this out?

Took this from barclays bank website in the UK.

IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number, which you can use when making or receiving international payments.

Your IBAN doesn’t replace your sort code & account number ─ it’s an additional number with extra information to help overseas banks identify your account for payments.

I talked to my bank, and they said they don't have an IBAN number. They use a SWIFT code, routing number, and account number. I wasn't sure if anyone in the US has found a way around this seeing as how Giants is asking for a BIC/SWIFT code and IBAN number only. I messaged Giants, and they said "donate or find a friend." lol, obviously in a little more words than that.

Swift and Iban are pretty much the same thing. You can use the swift code your bank deals with. So you can use swift or Iban as giants have said

From what I understand the SWIFT code is the same as the BIC code, and the IBAN is something different. The BIC tells them which bank it goes to and the IBAN tells them whose account to put it in. Giants ask for a BIC and a IBAN number, so I'm assuming they aren't the same. So if the BIC is the same as the SWIFT number, the SWIFT number can't be the same as the IBAN number I take it.

Has any modder in the US figured out how to set up the BIC and the IBAN for reward payments? Giants offers NO SUPPORT on this matter. :-(

There have been discussions in the past. Most us modders I know didn’t sign up for the rewards due to the IBAN requirement. They were either unable to get it or just didn’t look into it any further.

I believe this is also another reason you don’t see as many American mods on the official mod hub.
