'Bad' mod sites

I agree that one shouldn't support sites that provide unauthorized uploads. I totally understand the headache of modders too when they can't distribute updates anymore. Would you say it's ok to download mods from bad sites that are only hosted there?

Hmmm, good question.

I think it will come down to the individuals choice (as it does now). We can only make those people aware that they are downloading from a site that aggragates mods and is only there for the money they make and number of hits they receive, it's not there for the modder (and really, the FS community).

Heh heh. You may have to eat some of your words, sites are already showing redirects for FS19, even though no mods are out as yet, but the sites ARE there.

Yeah it happens every year, websites change their names to the next version of the game before the game is even out

I have used Nexus for many other games I play and believe it's well organized and user friendly. There are mods for FS13 and FS15, not many, but it's a great site.

Hmmmm, 7 mods in total (for 'obsolete/outdated' games) is really not worth going to the site for FS.

Having said that, I do use NMM as I also play SKSE (among others) and use this site extensively for those, but not FS.

It's one of those "More is better" sites. It's full of 'stolen' mods and 're-tweaked' mods with no credits to the Author.
