Giants Editor - Can't find object shape (help)

Post by geonigma »

So I'm having an issue finding everything from the in-game examples in Giants Editor and I feel like I'm missing something; Hoping you guys can show me the way.

Here's the simplest example of something I can't find in Giants Editor.

Open up the New Holland T9 in Giants Editor and look for the shape of the exhaust flap. I don't get it, all I see is a transform by itself, not connected to the shape at all, but yet the transform is able to move the object? It's not even separated, but part of the entire newHolland_front visual shape. How do I figure out how this object works?

I was trying to see how the game did it, because when I do an exhaust raincover on a tractor I'm making, it always rotates the wrong way, no matter what axis or angle I put it at.

I think I can solve a lot of questions if I knew how to find where all these elusive properties are! Thanks in advance if you can help point me in the right direction :)
