Hi all,
I'm very, very new to creating a map and I am at least able to import stuff and do some basic terrain sculpting. However, I ran into a bit of an issue and I wanted to check whether it is fixable or if I'm out of luck here. The issue is as follows (reference image here: https://imgur.com/a/lRc6rnq). I'm trying to create a canal alongside a road by lowering the terrain. The road and canal are angled to about 30 (or -150) degrees, which causes the grid to produce terrible jagged edges. Smoothing helps a bit, but not remotely enough to get a decent straight canal edge. With cardinal directions this no doubt wouldn't be that much of an issue, but I kind of need the angle to work.
Is there any way to improve this particular terrain edge, or am I fighting a losing battle here? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Appreciate the reply and the pointer to the relevant video. Did give it a quick try, but I'll probably have to play around with it some more tomorrow. Not entirely convinced yet on it being the silver bullet. The angle still seems to work against me.
Thanks again though!
