Exactly. I try and copy the best hog farm in our sow co-op to make ourselves better.

I also saw that John Deere is going to be releasing a 50-ft. draper header for it as well along with a new series of corn headers. Not sure how many guys will be able to swing the hefty price tag, guessing it's going to be somewhere in the $700k-$750k range before headers. They only operations that these make sense for are the guys that are covering 5,000+ acres. I think I read that it can do 30 acres/hour in small grains and up to 7,200 bu/hour in corn. Not many operations even have the resources to move 7,200 bushels/hour from bin to bin. Pretty crazy how far agricultural technology has come in the last 20 years.
Oh you'd be surprised. There's alot of operation across the Midwest running 2 combines. 1 combine like this could easily replace the both
I agree with you, it's pretty wild. Where I live in North Dakota, a lot of operations will run two machines for soybeans, but it takes a lot of man power to support 2 combines during corn harvest. Only the guys that farm on a larger scale are capable of doing it efficiently. 7,200 bu./hour is moving grain at a pretty quick rate!

There is a Farmer around me that has over 20,000 acres and uses at least 3 combines in a field, even on only 80 acres. They have 3 huge grain carts and like 5 or more trucks running at a time.

Sounds like there are some serious dollars flying around in that operation!

Yeah, I really don't know how they are making money. The rent they are paying is ridiculous, plus they lease everything.

Yeah, I figured after losing it he would eventually start over especially with no one else saying they were making one.
