You suggest that players vote for maps of their own country.

I’m Dutch. I wouldn’t vote for a Dutch map just because it’s Dutch. I’d vote for the best map

Same as iwan073 above. I'm not from continental Europe, but two of my highest votes went to continental European maps because, in my opinion, they were two of the best maps in the contest.

I have no problem voting for mods based on their quality, irrespective of how much I would use them.

You're doing a disservice to the modders by voting poorly or not voting at all just because you have no interest in their style or geographical location. That's not what the mod contest is about.

I am not sure how the final score was calculated, but i am sure that item what got 10 votes of 5 is not equal of 1000 votes of between 4 and 5.
So maybe the European voters were more active and gave votes to they country style mods?

i personally think that the voting is wrong you cant control peoples votes, what if a group dont like that modder or anything or jealousy i dont think thats fair on the creater he dosent have no control they put all that hard work in to be ruined by jealousy....why dont Giants take over the votes an judge the modders work them selfs...

"control people's votes" ???

I'm not sure you quite understand how votes work. You may disagree with the results but, to me, the quality mods rose to the top. There were issues getting some of them to load or work for some people so that would count against them. If there were people voting because of jealousy or similar petty ussues then I would think that they would be in the minority.

i still think Giants need to change the voting system so modders have a chance of fair votes.

What makes you think that the voting wasn't fair this time though?

Well that's the assumption, but I was curious if there was another reason for that way of thinking.

hello for me the system is wrong because we organize fake voting groups. I noticed that it was possible to vote many times for the same mod with dynamic IPs. there should be a commission that evaluates the mods that should be top not mods full of bugs. almost all the mods had nothing innovative.
