unable to customize Bredal K165

FS19 running on PC Marwell Manor Farm

Purchased Bredal K165 with spreader extension and used it on one field then decided to add the capacity extension.
Tried customizing it at the farm workshop, the shop and with the tool box. In each instance I can go through the whole customizing procedure but at the last stage where it confirms the K165 has been customized the game crashes and of course no customization has happened.

The K165 was empty and had been repaired prior to attempting the customization.
