Do any of the Geo's on the mod hub allow for cotton?
I have not seen one, but I may have overlooked it.

Same for cane.

Midwest. Simplified central Europe. Might be more.

there is an australian one. Some US-Geos…

There is a section on the modhub where all the geos are in. It should be visible in the preview-pictures.

It got me too. Looking under latest tab in modhub only shows Snowy Lands GEO for me. Under gameplay was everything haha, blew my little mind.

What’s a good rotation for cotton?

You can play with the seasons rotation planner until you find one you are happy with.

A "good" rotation is somewhat subjective in that it depends which crop in the rotation you are looking to maximize - I assume you are looking at cotton :biggrin2:

Cotton-cereal-cereal is pretty good. Cotton does very well and the cereal does well.
Cotton-cereal-canola-cereal is also pretty good. Everything does well but cotton is not quite maxed.
Cotton-cereal-soybean-cereal is also ok although not quite as productive as with canola in place of soybean.

I'm not intimate with cotton in real life so I can't speak to how realistic any of these rotations actually are in any real cotton-growing regions.

Even continuous cotton is not absolutely terrible (0.86 cotton yield continuously).

If you throw fallow into any of these rotations it improves everything else. i.e. cotton-cotton-cotton-fallow, or cotton-cotton-fallow.

(Continuous cotton or cotton with fallow, in my opinion, are quite bad rotations from a real life agronomic perspective, but the game doesn't account for the accumulated disease, weed, and pest pressure resulting from these types of rotations, nor the pesticide resistance issues of continuous monoculture, so if you're not looking to role-play any of that agronomy, you can ignore it for the purposes of the game).

Just spend some time in the rotation planner because it really depends how you want to run your farm, there is no better way to learn what works with what.

This is what I am doing on one of my maps. "C" looks like the experimental rotation, or what happens when I buy new land.

Thanks. Guess I should’ve looked harder. I didn’t know the planner did that
