So I found this website via Facebook and what it does it shows you what crops are growing in Europe and in America. It can show you what crops are growing in near you.

It maybe you give an idea to play realisticly on certain maps like Marwell or Stone valley

Mind you, if you want latest data you need to fill out a form, 2018 is fine though

Kind of neat. The ranking system is off though. Make sure you read the numbers. According to the ranking system peanuts (173.3) is more popular in Illinois than soybeans (3.8M). They are just a bit off ha. You can hit to reorder it just fyi.

That is a really cool website, although I found my farm and it says a bean field is corn lol

Most of the fields around me look pretty accurate. Except a 40 acre field down the street from me that has been a hayfield for at least 20 years says it was a peanut field in 2018, and soybeans before that. Still pretty cool though.

They don't have any hay field listed for us either, that has been hay for the past 5 years.

First, we learned how to clean the satellite photos from artifacts to ensure correct processing of information. Second, we trained an algorithm to allocate field boundaries automatically. For the map, we simplified the boundaries so that the visualization is really fast. The accuracy of crop classification, or F1 score, is 0.91. Third, we trained another algorithm to automatically determine a crop that grows on a field.

So they use algorithms and images, it will get better as further updates come along

I get that. I'm just saying it isn't as accurate as you want it to be. It would be a lot of data, but usda has maps of every field planted with boundaries and know what is grown in there. You have to record the data to them otherwise you are breaking the law.

The fields around our farm are combined with 3 of the neighbors fields on the website lol

2016 must have had some bad satellite imagery. Says that nearly every field around me was potatoes. lol
