Can't hire workers

Hello
Recently, I wasn't able to hire any workers anymore (for plowing, seeding ...). When I restart the game, I can hire 1 worker. After that, I can't hire more workers. At the beginning, the button to hire a worker is still available but after trying to hire a worker multiple times, the button disappears. Also, everytime I click on 'hire worker', the driver changes. I don't get the message that the job is done. I'am at PC.
