When I started playing FS, I really didn't like to use lizard equipment. In FS19 though, a lot of lizard equipment is based on real implements, so I've warmed up to it a little bit, although I am way more likely to use it if it has a fake brand name other than lizard for some reason. Lizard just doesn't sound like a good name for a farm equipment brand to me.

How do you guys (especially console players) feel about lizard equipment? Has your opinion of it changed? Are there certain types of equipment you won't use lizard (e.g. I'm more likely to use a lizard trailer vs. a lizard tractor)?

Totally agree, at least on pc very often the correct brand is available either on the modhub or via the modder. On the rare occasion it is not I normally remove the Lizard branding in in GE.
I would prefer something more along the lines of " GS Engineering " GS being for Giants Software.

The human brain is a strange thing and there is no logical reasoning, but yeah I would probably be 75% more likely to buy an implement made by GS Engineering than Lizard.

No offense meant to whoever came up with the Lizard brand name.

I don't mind at all as long as the equipment looks decent.

I do like it when modders come up with their own brand though. Just gives some variety.,

I only consider the price and HP. The name on the side is meaningless to me.
Maybe IRL would be different if I was a farmer, but in the game, a tractor is a tractor.

Lizard on equipment doesn't bother me. The Modders have done a fantastic job bringing Bobcats and Ford Pickups and big V hay rakes using the lizard brand so whatever. If the equipment is realistic and I like it, I use it. Being on console, you know the restrictions going into it.

Alpine ironworks. (A.I.) - tagline Built like an Alp / rugged like an alp
Matterhorn Machine Works. (M.M.W) - tagline The panicle of farm equipment

either of the above could have a logo using a stylized outline of the Matterhorn with the name below it, a little like the way the Deutz logo (engines not tractors) has the red stylized M (for Magirus of Magirus-Deutz days) with the elongated centre point being the spire of Ulmer Münster.
else the A of Alpine could be stylized as the Matterhorn.

or for something less English sounding.

I'm trying to stay with real brand equipment, but will use lizard if I do not have any other choice.

The real question is what is Lizard's policy on Right-To-Repair?

To respect the OP: I'm a big fan of Lizard. I like the ability to get out-of-license stuff on console, and I also like the sometime unrealistic capacity options. I want to farm, not drive a truck back and forth to the Co-Op, so I love the Underbelly trailer, for example. Mine has the big decals on it, and a heavy-haul rigged Phoenix out front.

Personally on PC I generally use attachments/implements pretty much without second thought. Vehicles though… I have a hard time with going that route. (Do have 3 TLX/Mormons though, 1 Conventional and 2 COE’s)

I don't mind the Lizard brand... shoot, if they was willing to "re-create" their Classics Pack DLC utilizing Lizard Equipment since they don't have licensing for equipment that old, which would go nicely with the "Start From Scratch" feature they gave us in FS19. I'd fall in love with the Lizard brand all over again!
