I pre-ordered FS22 from my PS4 pro. It was sitting in my library as a PS4 game to download.

Then I finally purchased my PS5 today and set it up.

My FS22 pre-order is also showing up in my library to download at the release but it is still showing up as a PS4 game.

My first question is the reason for this and my second question is what will happen at the release? It should download the PS5 version on a PS5 right?

Xbox One and Series X/S are the same.

Wait, so the ps5 and ps4 will be exactly the same?? Nothing will look better or the ps5 won’t have better capabilities?? That makes no sense. What’s the point of getting a next generation? Lol

The PS5 version of the game is different to the PS4 version. The same for Xbox. The Xbox Series X version is different to the Xbox Series S version, which a again is different to the Xbox One and Xbox One X version.
In terms of gameplay they are mostly identical (with more slots available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S compared to PS4/XboxOne), but the graphics, loading times, framerates, etc. are quite different.

I appreciate your response! Just so I’m reading and understanding you right. The ps4 and ps5 are different? The loading and frame rates I kinda figured. But the slots are or are not different? And I can’t get a ps5 for awhile because I can’t beat the bots…so if I buy the ps4 version, do I need to buy the ps5 version when I get it?

People use bots to buy the ones that are available online. They check all the websites that sell the systems more quickly than a person can check one and instantly get through check out. Then they resell them for a profit. Definitely not fake news.

It's the same with GPUs, but many stores have put measures in place to stop people buying more than one (not just email addresses, which are easy to get around, but shops won't fulfil any new GPU order which has the same delivery address as an existing order). I managed to pick up a 3060 TI at MSRP easily about 7 weeks back as the scalpers couldn't buy more than one - they were in stock for around an hour.

If you don't want to use the Discord notification method then you could try HotStock if you really want a PS5, which will sent a mobile notification when a user-defined shop receives stock. You'll probably receive notifications of any stock though, regardless of whether or not the price has been hiked.

Quick look at online sellers of the physical game have the PS4 and PS5 versions as a separate SKU, whereas there's a single one for XBox One/Series S&X.

The PS4 and PS5 versions are two separate games. The PS4 version will work on PS5 but you would be stuck with PS4 graphics and performance.

Normally when you buy a game for the ps 4 then you buy a Ps 5 if the game is classed as the same game IE Valhalla or Fs 22 etc it lets you upgrade for free to the ps 5 version which is what it would download onto the Ps5 , if you buy the digital version

Not saying your wrong…but are you sure?? lol I don’t want to buy this twice. To me fs19 is a good game other than some crashes, so I’ll rock it if I need to
